MARION TRAP TEAM
Welcome!
The Marion Trap Team is a co-ed, school-endorsed club that consists of athletes in 9th-12th grade, who love shooting sports and the great outdoors. The team practices twice a week and competes at various meets throughout the state. It is our goal to teach gun safety & education, skills needed for competitive shooting, and the importance of team camaraderie.
Our History
The team was started in 2020 by two MISD students, Jace B. & Gunnar L., who had a desire to bring shooting sports to the Marion Iowa Community. We began with fourteen athletes signed up the first year. Since then, our team has continued to grow, fielding about 30 athletes per season. Our Coaching Staff is lead by Brian B. (HC), Josiah D., Mike D., Mike M., Jeremy J., Charlie P., & Jeff R. We have enjoyed competing at sanctioned meets across the state and watching the growth and success our members have. The Marion Trap Team is also proud to watch graduated athletes continue to compete at the collegiate level.
